Management Team

The ZeoGas management team has almost a century of combined experience managing the engineering, permitting, construction and operation of complex industrial chemical assets and organizations. 

  Timothy D. Belton, President and CEO

For more than 25 years Mr. Belton has held various management consulting and C-level roles in publicly traded and private equity-backed companies. He is the former restructuring advisor to and subsequently COO of TRC Companies, Inc. [NYSE: TRR], a leading environmental and civil engineering firm with deep experience in the engineering, permitting, and construction management of hydrocarbon pipelines, power plants and wind farms. He counts among his former consulting clients the Pennzoil Products Company for whom he lead a multi-year acquisition strategy and operational improvement effort.  Mr.  Belton received his undergraduate engineering management degree from the University of Texas and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. 

  James (Jim) E. Hammelman, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Hammelman is a commodity finance professional with over 25 years experience in corporate and structured finance in the refining, power and natural gas markets.  He has led or participated in some of the largest infrastructure-related financings in the United States with transactional experience in excess of $15 billion and has earned "Deal of the Year" distinction for his work in structured transactions.  Mr. Hammelman has formerly held finance leadership postions with Conoco, Suez Energy North America, Reliant Energy and Municipal Energy Resources Corporation.  Mr. Hammelman holds an undergraduate degree in management from Southeast Missouri State University and a masters degree in business administration from Houston Baptist University.

  Jeri P. Wechsler, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, General Counsel

Ms. Wechsler has 30 years of business and legal experience, having started her career as an oil and gas landman after graduating from Louisiana State University.  She later earned her law degree, summa cum laude, from South Texas College of Law and an LL.M. in Energy, Natural Resources and Environmental Law from the University of Houston Law School. Before joining the ZeoGas team, she was most recently the general counsel of The Grocers Supply Co., Inc.  Before she left J. M. Huber Corporation to join Grocers Supply, she was Huber’s  chief environmental and litigation counsel with special expertise in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance. During her tenure at  Huber, Ms. Wechsler also served as acting general counsel of  Huber’s  Natural Resources and Technology-Based Services subsidiary which then included its Oil and Gas Exploration  and Production, Demica and Timber subsidiaries. Ms. Wechsler  also supported and served as acting general counsel of Huber's Engineered Woods subsidiary.  A former trial lawyer, she has first-chair experience in civil and administrative matters, and she has extensive general commercial and licensing experience.

 Kenneth P. Brown, Project Executive 

Mr. Brown has over 20 years of energy and alternative fuels project development for large companies and start ups following 10 years as a construction contractor and litigation attorney. He comes to ZeoGas after having been the President and CEO of Channel Biorefinery & Terminals and President and CEO of Acqua America, Inc.. Mr. Brown has been on the Board of numerous private companies and served as the President of the National BioEnergy Industries Association, which focused on bio-based sources of power generation. Before becoming a project developer, Mr. Brown practiced law focusing on construction litigation and representing clients developing independent power projects. Mr. Brown was also an Army Field Artillery Officer that served in Europe and Desert Storm. He is a graduate of Mercer University and has a law degree from the University of Florida.

  Chuck Neverdowski, SVP Corporate Development and Operations 

Mr. Neverdowski has expertise in financial analysis, operations and commercial negotiations and is initially focused on ensuring that ZeoGas’ financial model is integrated with construction and operating assumptions, supervising the selection process and negotiating site acquisition, and originating and developing prospective commercial (processing) agreement options and facilitating related negotiations.

 Alan Sharkey (Audubon Engineering), Owner's Engineer and Project Director

Mr. Sharkey has over 25 years of engineering, construction & commissioning experience. Over the last ten (10) years, Mr. Sharkey has focused primarily on Project Management, Project Engineering and overall direction and coordination of a Project Team of Engineers and Designers of all disciplines and direct supervision of Project Engineers. Projects have included retrofits, expansions, and new installations of chemical manufacturing facilities, petroleum refineries, oil and gas separation plants, natural gas pipelines and pumping stations.

  Anna Lantz, VP Administration 

Ms. Lantz has expertise in contract and document administration, and office operations. Anna previously had regional P&L responsibility for a professional services firm and provided administrative support for its C-suites and boards. She has already implemented a document management process for subscription agreements, notes, NDAs and other contracts, as well as implemented office technology support and human resources administration
